Episode 23: How learning the art of self-regulation can instantly eradicate overwhelm

Updated: Sep 8, 2022

We all know that having a successful business isn’t all about strategies, tactics and epic sales systems. If it were then we wouldn’t see over 80% of businesses failing in their first few years.

The biggest indicator of a business being successful is the state of the individual steering the ship.

Sure we need solid offers, epic sales processes etc etc, but if you as the person at the helm is operating from a place of stress and overwhelm, then wonderful lady, there’s no strategy that can outperform your state.

Your business is and always will be a reflection of you.

If you’re stressed, worried, feeling insecure or like you’re lacking in any way, then guess what? Your business is going to reflect that right back at you!

It’s your job and your responsibility to learn the art of managing your state regardless of what’s going on around you.

You don’t have to feel like your emotions and mental state are at the mercy of how your business is performing or what people think of you.

In today’s episode, I’m unpacking exactly what emotional self-regulation is, my story of being without it for most of my life (hello excessive people-pleasing and anxiety!) and what I now do to help me feel calm, relaxed, tranquil, happy and in control the majority of the time regardless of what’s going on around me.

So open minds at the ready, it’s time to take a mental holiday and learn the art of emotional self-regulation.
